Back to your semi-regular non-scheduled programming

I haven’t blogged for a while. How’s it going with you?

Maybe you are curious why I fell off the blogosphere for a bit, maybe you don’t care. I’m going to tell you any way. And hopefully, in future blogs, I will catch up on some milestones. You know, like Lulu’s 1st birthday.

This past summer I took 3 classes. Which, in hindsight, was a terrible idea. I never felt caught up on anything and was very very very overwhelmed. Kind of like I was stuck on a out of control roller coaster that I was supposed to manage while juggling three kittens and ┬ásaving the world. Oh, and clean my house and feed my family. We all did manage to get fed, the house cleaning….. eh. Viddy did help tremendously. He did the dishes and laundry and cooked us tacos, I mean dinner...

Responsibilities and such

It’s Finals Week. And I’ve already mentally checked out of school. Because once I’m done with school I get to delve into preparing for Miss Lulu full time. And I get to have a baby shower. And I get to see lots of family. And then I FINALLY get to meet the little squirt that’s been kicking me in my liver for the past week and a half. And then the real adventure begins.

But I still have one mini-test and one REALLY BIG COMPREHENSIVE test before I should check out…. So today I got my craft on (for reasons I’ll disclose later in this post), caught up on a bunch of blogs I’ve never read before, facebooked, showered, ate some leftovers…. I logged onto Blackboard, if that counts for anything...

My uterus and I have a complicated relationship, involving (in the past) lots of pain pills, microwave heat packs, and strong words.

Any research you do about endometriosis links it to infertility. I had that not-so-little grey cloud trailing me around from when I was 17 till recently (even though I tried not to dwell on it)...

School Time!

We have moved! We are living with our very gracious friends in North Carolina while Dave gets settled in his new, wonderful, happier, healthier-working-situation-where-they-actually-appreciate-his-amazingness job. And I start school in six days.

A year ago I was sitting in a Georgetown University classroom looking around at all my classmates that I would be with for the next 2.5 years. And then Dave happened. And now I get to do the whole first-day-of-graduate-school thing allllllll overrrrrr againnnnnnn. Sigh. But it is a much better fit for me. I get to do a combined Family/Women’s Health Nurse Practitioner degree. Perfect for me.

I actually got my homework done for next week (YES, I have reading assignments BEFORE school starts).

This is me doing homework...
